What are Stainless Steel Drill Bushes — DIN 172, Type A?

What “DIN 179 Type A” Means

DIN 179 covers headless (collarless) drill or guide bushings. “Type A” (also called “Form A”) specifies one entry radius or chamfer on a single side; “Type B” variants have radii on both sides. The outer diameter is produced to a tight n6 tolerance and is intended for installation into a matching H7 housing bore, giving a precise press fit that locks the bushing in place and maintains alignment.
