What Are Aluminium Grippers?

These Aluminium Grippers are a lightweight, durable hand-operated clamping solution ideal for industrial, mechanical and workshop applications.

The hand knob is constructed from black powder-coated aluminium, giving it a strong yet low-weight body that resists corrosion and wear while providing a comfortable gripping surface for manual adjustment. Aluminium hand knobs are particularly suited for applications where reduced weight and long-term durability are priorities, such as adjustable assemblies, machinery controls and fixtures.

Mated to the knob is a steel thrust screw with a ball end, a threaded component designed to deliver a reliable point of contact for clamping, positioning and locating duties. The steel thrust screw features a carbon steel body (Grade 10.9) with a chemical black finish for corrosion resistance, paired with a hardened, freely rotating steel ball at the tip. This ball end allows the screw to adapt to mating surfaces including holes or uneven contact points while maintaining a strong contact surface suitable for repeated use in demanding environments.
