What Are Cast Iron Hand Knob with Steel Thrust Screw and Hardened Pad?

These Cast Iron Grippers are a durable and reliable clamping solution engineered for industrial, mechanical and workshop applications. The hand knob is made from cast iron with a black powder-coated finish, providing excellent strength, wear resistance and a comfortable ergonomic grip for frequent manual tightening and adjustment. Cast iron hand knobs are ideal for environments such as machinery setups, fixtures and adjustable assemblies. Paired with the knob is a steel thrust screw fitted with a hardened pad. The screw body is constructed from high-strength Grade 10.9 steel, offering excellent load-bearing capability and resistance to bending or deformation. The hardened tool-steel pad provides a solid thrust contact point that resists wear and delivers repeatable support under load, making it perfect for clamping, positioning, stops and other secure fastening tasks.
