These Cast Iron Grippers are a sturdy and versatile clamping assembly designed for industrial, mechanical and workshop applications. The hand knob is constructed from cast iron with a black powder-coated finish, offering excellent strength, durability and resistance to wear ideal for frequent use in demanding environments. Cast iron star knobs provide a solid, ergonomic grip that’s easy to turn by hand, even when hands are gloved or oily, making them well-suited for tightening and fastening tasks across machinery and fixtures. Paired with the hand knob is a clamping screw featuring a serrated swivel pad. This pad consists of a hardened steel ball with a serrated contact face that improves traction on workpiece surfaces and resists slipping under load. The restricted swivel design means the ball pivots within a limited range, helping maintain secure, angled contact when clamping against uneven or non-parallel surfaces.
