WDS inch sized dowel pins are manufactured from 230M07 steel to the standard BS970. These are then chemically blacked, hardened and then ground. The diameter of the dowel has a +0.0001"/+0.0003" tolerance on it. On one side of the dowel is radius and the other a chamfer - this is to help the dowel press into the receiving hole easier. These inch sizes are perfect for the aerospace market or if these are needed to be used with legacy components that are not metric. If needed, these dowel pins are also available in metric sizes, in a regular style, in an extractable version and in silver steel
