What are Firefly™ External Trunking Clips?

Firefly™ External Trunking Clips are flat, fire-resistant cable support clips for use with UK-standard plastic cable trunking. Also known as external trunking clips, fire-rated trunking clips, metal cable retention clips or trunking fire clips, they help maintain cable support if plastic trunking softens or fails during a fire.

The external flat clip design is suitable for surface-mounted trunking runs on walls and ceilings.

The clips are available for trunking, with various colour options to suit different installations.

Firefly™ External Trunking Clips support BS 7671 wiring regulation requirements by helping reduce the risk of premature cable collapse in the event of fire. They are suitable for industrial, commercial and residential installations, including factories, warehouses, workshops, plant rooms, risers, escape routes, corridors and London refurbishment projects.

For compliant installation, use suitable masonry screws, concrete screws or appropriate metal fixings into solid substrates. Plastic trunking, plastic clips and plastic wall plugs should not be relied on as the only method of cable support where fire-resistant retention is required.
