What are Hygienic Parking Index Plungers for USIT® Washers?

Hygienic Parking Index Plungers (also known as lockout indexing plungers) are stainless steel, spring-loaded locating components designed to position, lock, or release moving machine parts.

Unlike standard rapid-return pull pins, this specialized "parking" version features a built-in lockout slot. When the operator manually pulls the handle and twists it, the plunger pin remains securely held in a retracted state for extended periods. This hands-free functionality allows operators to recalibrate or clean machinery without the pin automatically snapping back.

Featuring an advanced conical collar, the plunger body is engineered to compress a matching Hygienic USIT® Seal Washer flush against the machinery housing, creating an absolute cavity-free, dead-space-free connection at the thread entry point to prevent bacterial accumulation.
