Captive Fastenings
Captive Fasteners are a smart alternative to the standard, fully threaded fastener. The captive fastener is designed to partially screw into the threaded hole with a plain shank section, allowing the screw to go loose.
Captive screws are fasteners designed to remain attached. Conventional screws typically pass through a clearance hole in one part and then screws into a threaded hole in a second part — so the first part is clamped to the second.
Sizes include metric M3 to M12. This range of captive fasteners are composed of our most cost effective material, Grade 316 Stainless Steel.
