Studs

Engineer studs, often referred to as engineering studs or threaded studs, are a type of fastener distinct from the common bolt or screw. These studs are essentially metal rods with threads on both ends, or sometimes along their entire length. One end is typically designed to be screwed permanently into a tapped hole, often in a machine or other piece of heavy equipment, while the other end is intended to protrude.
