What is a mandrel press?

A manual press is a mechanical device designed for exerting force through manual human operation. It consists of a lever, handle and heat treated machine cut gear mechanism that the user can physically manipulate to apply pressure or force to a workpiece. Design Features

This press features a substantial cast iron body housing a meticulously crafted gear mechanism that drives the ram's vertical movement. The handle can be secured at multiple points using a thumb screw situated on the side of the hub. The base's table incorporates a range of slot sizes to accommodate diverse workpiece dimensions and is affixed to a precisely machined dowel, allowing swivelling to any position 360 degrees. Additionally, a set screw on the top of the mandrel press is available to fix the ram place, while a grease fitting at the top permits extra gear lubrication as needed. For maintenance of the gears, the protective tube and back plate of the press are detachable. At there rear of the press there are two counterbored holes machined to allow the press to be bolted down if required.
