What is an adjustable hardened steel gripper?

An adjustable hardened steel gripper is essentially a grub screw made from, hard steel with teeth on one end, designed for clamping. This gripper can be finely adjusted with the rear hexagon slot. By tightening the gripper up with an allen key to the work piece, it prevents slippage, making it valuable in applications such as for jig and fixtures, assembly lines, and material handling.

Design Features>

The threaded body permits the user to adjust the gripper's position, with the internal hex allowing for rear adjustments. The body is constructed from high speed steel, hardened to Rc 55/58 with a chemically blacked finish. The body is threaded with an ISO standard metric coarse pitch. These grippers come with 2 styles of tooth pattern: fine and extra fine - the dimensions of which can be found in the product drawing.
