What are OK vise edge clamps?

The principle behind all OK vise clamps is the same: a screw through the centre of clamp pushes a wedge when tightened, pushing the two jaws apart to clamp the work pieces. The two jaws are connected by a spring and plate to keep them attached together. These clamps are designed to take up a small footprint space on the fastening base. Small in size, yet with an excellent clamping force of up to 150 kN, these clamps guarantee a holding capacity that clearly exceeds the load of machining forces. Fastening with only one bolt ensures quick set-up times.

What are the differences between this economy version and standard OK vise clamps?

This economy model of our work holding clamps feature a only a ground bottom jaw for accurate fixture placement, suitable for regular work holding tasks without demanding ultra-precision. These models, including the smallest "micro" clamp (220-301), are constructed from the same materials as other clamps and come with Viton O-rings instead of the standard springs.

The OK Vise double edge pull down clamp has robust construction, manufactured from Tool Steel BS 4659 Gr BH13, renowned for its strength and durability. The clamp's tightening torque is denoted as P1, as per the data table and the jaw pressure is designated as P2 in the table.
