Mounting Hole Type

The bore in the centre of these WDS handwheels is machined to an H7 fit tolerance with a precision broached keyway added afterward, featuring a JS9 width tolerance and a length tolerance of +0.2mm. Having a keyway, as opposed to a plain bore, offers the advantage of providing a secure and reliable connection, preventing rotational slippage when attached to a shaft. WDS also supplies a range of parallel and Woodruff shaft keys designed to fit this keyway, available under part numbers WDS 682 and WDS 683. These handwheels also have cross drilled set screws designed as an additional shaft connection.

Handle Type

The handwheel range is equipped with a threaded hole on the rim, allowing for the attachment of a grip if desired. WDS offers a selection of both fixed and revolving grips to accommodate various preferences and applications.
