What Are Thermoplastic Grippers?

These Thermoplastic Grippers are a corrosion resistant and ergonomically designed clamping solution ideal for industrial, mechanical and workshop applications where secure hand tightening and gentle surface contact are required.

The scallop hand knob features a multi lobed thermoplastic body with a stainless steel insert, offering excellent, durability and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for environments exposed to moisture, chemicals or washdown conditions. The scallop shape provides a comfortable, high grip surface that improves manual torque for quicker and easier tightening. A removable top cap allows the knob to be used as either a blind knob or converted to a through knob for different mounting needs.

Threaded into the knob is a Stainless Steel 304 set screw with a nylon tip, combining high corrosion resistance with a nylon contact point that protects delicate or finished workpiece surfaces during clamping and adjustment. The nylon tip offers low friction engagement and helps prevent marking, slipping or damage while maintaining a secure hold.
