What Are Thermoplastic Grippers?

These Thermoplastic Grippers are a corrosion resistant clamping and positioning solution ideal for industrial, mechanical and workshop applications where secure tightening, gentle surface contact and durability are essential.

The scallop hand knob features an ergonomic multi lobed design moulded from impact‑resistant black thermoplastic. Its shape provides a comfortable and secure grip, enabling higher hand‑applied torque during tightening and adjustment tasks. The removable cap design adds versatility, allowing use as a blind hole knob or a through knob configuration when needed.

Mated to the scallop knob is a stainless steel thrust screw with a nylon (POM) ball end. The threaded screw body is precision machined from AISI 303 stainless steel, offering strong corrosion resistance and long term durability. The free rotating nylon ball at the tip provides a smooth, low friction, non marking contact surface that protects delicate or pressure sensitive workpiece surfaces during clamping. This makes the assembly ideal for fixtures, assembly setups, positioning systems, and applications involving brittle or finished materials.
