What are Stainless Steel clamping pads adjustable plain?
These adjustable stainless-steel clamping pads are engineered for demanding tooling, fixturing and work-holding applications where corrosion resistance, durability and precision are key. They retain the core features of our standard steel versions, but with full stainless steel material specifications for enhanced service life and suitability in harsher or more hygienic environments.
Product Highlights:
The self-aligning ball head allows for angular compensation (swivel) between the fixture body and work-piece surface, ensuring even pressure distribution and reducing potential for part distortion or surface marking.
Two contact face options – plain for smooth surfaces and minimal contact marking, and serrated for increased grip on slippery or heavier-load workpieces.
Threaded adjustable body + locknut enables precise height or pressure adjustment in a fixture, and secure final tightening to eliminate loosening under vibration or repeated cycles.
Ideal for use in jigs, fixtures, machining centres, assembly stations, inspection setups and other precision tooling applications where both strength and corrosion resistance are required.
Material Specifications:
Ball - Stainless steel grade 1.3541, nickel-plated for enhanced corrosion protection
Body - Stainless steel grade 1.4057, heat-treated
Contact faces:
Available in a plain or serrated finish. The serrated face provides enhanced grip and mechanical bite into the clamped surface.
Finish & treatment:
All exposed surfaces are stainless and corrosion-resistant treated, making them suitable for humid, wet or aggressive environments, where clean-up and corrosion control are vital.
Performance & Application Notes:
The ball head’s swivel reduces misalignment stresses and promotes even clamping pressure which makes these suitable for workpieces that are slightly angled or have variation in surface flatness while the serrated versions are advantageous when clamping materials that may slip and vibrate, or when machining forces might otherwise cause movement of the workpiece. Stainless Steel adds value in environments such as marine, food, chemical, outdoor or high-humidity installations, and where rust prevention is essential.
Installation tips: Ensure the mounting location allows the ball to swivel adequately (max tilt of 9°) and secure the locknut after adjustment to prevent loosening.
