What are ball end diamond location pins?

Ball end locating pins are components designed to simplify the positioning of jig and fixtures. They have a ball-shaped end which minimises jamming, especially when the locating hole isn't perfectly aligned with the pin or if the applied force isn't parallel to the pin's axis. Whilst the diamond shape allows for horizontal misalignment. These pins are often used in conjunction with stepped location pins or dowels. A distinguishing feature is the tapped hole on their top face, which aids in their installation and removal. The tolerance on the top diameter is g6 and the bottom diameter is n6 - suitable for pressing into a H7 tolerance receiving hole.
