What are Hygienic 316 Stainless Steel Mushroom Grip Indexing Plungers with USIT® Seals?

Stainless Steel Hygienic Mushroom Grip Indexing Plungers with USIT® Seals are premium, spring-loaded locating components designed to securely position, lock, or release moving machine parts. Supplied as an all-in-one assembly, this indexing plunger comes pre-packaged with a genuine Hygienic USIT® seal washer to establish an immediate, liquid-tight installation.

An indexing plunger is used where a machine assembly must be held firmly in a defined position and protected against unwanted movement caused by lateral forces. To change positions, the operator simply pulls the ergonomic stainless steel mushroom grip handle to retract the locating pin. Featuring a specialized conical collar, the plunger body is engineered to compress the matching elastomer sealing ring flush against the machinery wall. This creates an absolute cavity-free, dead-space-free connection at the thread entry point, stopping fluid ingress and eliminating areas where dirt or bacteria could accumulate.
