This hygienic design fastening system is specifically engineered for application within food-processing facilities. The design places a strong emphasis on optimizing cleanliness and features a surface finish with an Ra value of ≤ 0.8 µm. The inclusion of a pre-mounted sealing washer ensures a quick and hassle-free installation, contributing to the system's overall efficiency.

The hexagon nut is constructed from A4 grade or 316 grade Stainless Steel, while the sealing washer is composed of Thermoplastic (POM) which conforms to EU10/2011 and FDA standards. These hexagon nuts are available in both polished and unpolished stainless steel variants (see detail in the table) and the sealing washers come in the RAL5002 ultra-marine color option.

For the sealing ring to perform optimally, the contact face should ideally be flat, perpendicular to the threaded hole, and have a surface finish with an Ra value of ≤ 0.8 µm. Additionally, the sealing ring is not suitable for use with acidic cleaning agents (pH < 4) or oxidizing agents.

The system operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +100°C, making it suitable for a variety of conditions within the food-processing industry.
