What Are Side-Pull Hoist Rings with Lift-Check™ Technology?

Side-pull hoist rings, also known as articulated hoist rings or side-pull lifting rings, are lifting devices designed for side mounting on loads. They facilitate lifting and rotating objects from the side, providing flexibility in handling items that lack top attachment points or require flipping during operations. These hoist rings can pivot 180 degrees and swivel 360 degrees, enabling them to self-align with the load direction, thereby enhancing safety and efficiency in lifting applications.

The SP2000™ Side-Pull Hoist Ring is engineered for the efficient lifting and inversion of fixtures, dies, and moulds. It features a full 360-degree swivel and 180-degree pivot around the central bolt, providing enhanced clearance during side lifting operations and the manipulation of rotating objects. This hoist ring incorporates the Lift-Check™ system, which includes a patented hex head cap screw with an integrated Visual Tension Indicator. This indicator allows for hands-free inspection from a distance prior to lifting, displaying red when the bolt joint is loose and black when it is tight, thus ensuring lifting security and reducing installation time without the need for a specialist torque wrench.

Manufactured in the United States and subjected to rigorous testing, the SP2000™ Side-Pull Hoist Ring conforms to ASME B30.26 and MIL-STD-209K standards. As part of the quality assurance process, critical components—including the bail, bolt, U-channel, spacer, and bushing—undergo magnetic particle inspection to detect any surface or subsurface discontinuities, ensuring the highest level of reliability and safety.
