Universal Joint & Couplings

A Universal Joint acts as a shaft power transfer coupling between two rotary elements and is typically used to transmit motion over non-linear applications such as drive shafts. Each steel joint consists of two yoke end fittings positioned at 90 degrees of each other with a connecting cross shaft allowing the transmission of rotary motion between two unaligned shafts

The WDS product range consists of two designs; a standard Single Joint and a Double Jointed version. & Telescopic Universal Joints are available upon request

Plain Bearing U-Joints offer a max RPM of 1500 and Needle Roller Bearing a max RPM of 3000

Alternative names for Universal joints include: Hooke's joint or Hooke's coupling
