Quality Statement
You may have noticed the CE (Conformité Européenne) markings on some of our products. The CE mark indicates that the product has been assessed and qualifies the requirements of the European Union (EU). It allows manufactures to trade goods within the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking is an abbreviation for Conformité Européenne, it translates to “European Conformity”.
The United Kingdom was a member of the EU before Brexit, which meant the UK had to follow regulations under the European Union to stamp the CE mark on their products.
When the UK left Brexit, the UK introduced its own marking called the UKCA, which stands for UK Conformity Assessed. This means the EU and UK will need to adhere to their regulations to engrave the markings respectively. The government has legislated changes such as applying the UKCA safety markings to their products. You can read more about product safety markings at the UK Government Website.
