What are ball end diamond location pins?

Ball end locating pins are tools designed to simplify the process of positioning and alignment. Their unique ball-end form minimises jamming that can occur if the locating hole is misaligned or if the force applied isn't parallel to the pin axis. Whilst the diamond shape allows for horizontal misalignment. They are commonly used alongside stepped location pins or dowels. These pins often come with a tapped hole on their top face, making installation and removal more convenient. The design ensures smoother and more accurate positioning in various applications.

Installation Information

The tolerance on the top diameter is g6 and the bottom diameter is n6 - suitable for pressing into a H7 tolerance receiving hole.
