What is an adjustable hardened steel gripper?

An adjustable carbide-tipped gripper is essentially a hexagon bolt made from, hard steel with teeth on one end, designed for clamping. This gripper can be finely adjusted with hexagon head on the front face. By tightening the gripper up with a spanner to the work piece, it prevents slippage, making it valuable in applications such as for jig and fixtures, assembly lines, and material handling.

Design Features>
The threaded body permits the user to adjust the gripper's position, with the front hexagon allowing for rear adjustments. The serrated carbide tip provides positive holding and wear resistance. The body is made from a Grade 8 fastener with a chemically blacked finish. The serrated carbide pad is brazed onto a pocket in the head. The body is threaded with an ISO standard metric coarse pitch. These grippers come with 2 styles of tooth pattern: fine and extra fine - the dimensions of which can be found in the product drawing.
