WDS 960 Detent Pins Data Sheet

What are Detent pins?

Detent pins are a type of fastening hardware used to securely position and hold components together, allowing for quick assembly and disassembly. They consist of a pin with one or more balls or notches at one end, which are held in place by a spring mechanism. When the pin is inserted into a hole, the balls or notches compress and then expand into a recess, locking the pin in place. To remove the pin, a user simply needs to pull or push on the pin to compress the balls or notches and slide it out. Detent pins are widely used in applications requiring frequent and rapid assembly and disassembly, such as in manufacturing jigs, automotive assemblies, gym equipment, and various mechanical devices, offering a reliable and convenient solution for temporary joint or alignment tasks.
