What is the difference between a parking and non parking index plunger?

A parking index plunger features a locking mechanism achieved by twisting the handle 90 degrees, which secures the plunger in its outward position. In contrast, a non-parking index plunger lacks this locking capability, allowing for quick adjustments without the ability to lock it in place. The advantage of a non-parking index plunger lies in its rapid adaptability, making it suitable for applications requiring frequent changes, while a parking index plunger offers greater stability and security by allowing the user to lock the plunger in the extended position when needed.
