Pull Down Inserts
The WDS pull down Insert is a unique pull back threaded clamping insert that provides clamping for up to 5 axis operations and for unusual shaped workpieces. Commonly used in the aerospace industry WDS pull-down Inserts are designed to be fitted into the fixture plate in the compressed condition, with the whole of the insert below the location face. This enables the workpiece to be manoeuvred into position over the inserts. A standard Hexagon Key is then passed down one of the pre-tapped holes in the workpiece and engaged into the hexagon socket in the inner component of the insert.
