Captive Screw: 316 Stainless Steel
Typically used on panels and enclosures but also used for applications in industrial equipment construction electronics & fabrication.
These captive fasteners are a smart design that bring an alternative to standard cap screws by offering the captive functionality.
In the place of a standard fully threaded fastener the captive fastener screws through a threaded hole and the plain shank section allows the screw to move loosely.
It is recommended that counterbore lengths for application should be greater than the thread length of the captive fastener therefore L2>L1.

PLEASE NOTE: Head may be knurled dependant on size, these screws are similar to DIN 912.
