What is a spring bolt and what is it used for?

This spring bolt has been specifically designed to be used with the WDS 551-2## clevis fork. This innovative solution is a quicker way of connecting a clevis joint than using the traditional method of a clevis pin and e clip. These are manufactured from spring steel with a pin riveted to the end - the spring steel allows for the clip to be easily snapped on to the boss of the clevis fork with enough force that it cannot be easily or accidentally removed.
