Single and Double Acting Hydraulic Cylinders

Hydraulic double acting cylinders use oil pressure to apply a clamping force to a workpiece requiring a booster to actuate the application of pressure.  Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinders use a spring return action to release the clamping force.
